Reflexive Strength.
A body that supports itself — automatically.

Reflexive strength is the ability of the body to organise support, stability, and breath, without conscious effort.
When this reflexive support is restored, strength becomes responsive, posture self-organising, and movement resilient under load.
This work restores the conditions that allow the body to trust itself again.

What is Reflexive Strength?
Reflexive strength is not something you consciously activate.
It’s the background support system that switches on when your body is well organised – and switches off when it’s no longer needed.

When reflexive strength is available, the spine lengthens under breath, joints stabilise without gripping, and effort no longer interferes with movement or respiration.

This work focuses on restoring that underlying reflex — so support becomes automatic, adaptable, and resilient.

Benefits across pain, practice and performance
For people working with pain or recurring injury:

-
Support before effort.
-
Relief arises when the body no longer has to overwork to feel safe.
-
By restoring deep stabilising reflexes, movement becomes trustworthy again — without bracing or forcing change.

“I have lived with chronic back and neck pain for 30 years. I tried yoga, chiropractors, physios, Alexander Technique, Osteopaths and massage of every variety, most at significant cost, all with no lasting impact. For the first time in decades something has changed, I am both grateful and astounded. Doing this work with Adam is life changing for me” — Mark, artistic director

For those interested in breath, posture, and nervous system regulation:

-
Breath-led organisation.
-
When the spine and rib cage are free to respond to breath, alignment and tone emerge naturally.
-
Posture improves not through correction, but through restored internal organisation.

“There had been some chi blockages, and using these interesting techniques, I was able to light these up and then release them. I felt empty, still, quiet” — Ben, tai chi teacher

For yoga practitioners and teachers:

-
Subtle support without constant control.
-
Breath, stability, and verticality begin to organise themselves.
-
Strength no longer relies on techniques or continual awareness, and classical functions such as bandhas emerge reflexively rather than being applied.

“Adam's use of props and clear cues helped me feel safe enough to stay with the intensity instead of shutting down or pushing through. This work reaches places other practices simply don’t” — Alina, yoga teacher

For athletes, dancers and committed movers:

-
Strength that adapts under load.
-
Reflexive strength allows force to transmit efficiently while breathing freely.
-
The result is resilience, endurance, and performance that holds up under fatigue.

“After just one private session with Adam, my entire spine felt lighter – like the tension had melted away. My posture felt effortless, and later that day, I noticed a real boost in my stamina and energy” — Daniel, chef

All the above benefits are different expressions of the same underlying support.
