Back-to-Strength Classes

​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  • Your first Back-to-Strength yoga therapy class is FREE to attend!
     

  • All classes start with warm-up exercises to wake up the spine in all 6-directions.
     

  • Then a Back MOT, to assess where you are carrying hidden tension along the whole length of your back.
     

  • The main theme of the class will either focus on healing the lower back and hips, or the upper back and shoulders. (Please see the section below for the dates for each theme.)
    ​​​​​​​​​

  • ​In general, we will release tensionincrease range and ease of motion, and finally strengthen postural muscles.
     

  • At the end of the class, we have a Back MOT Retest, to test what's shifted.
     

  • You can expect to leave the class feeling less pain, and freer, lighter and yet more grounded than at the start.

When?

​​​

  • The times and dates for the Spring term evening classes are:
    ​

  • Wednesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 pm
     

  • Please arrive by 6:15 pm if possible, for registration and to settle, as classes will start on time.
     

  • "Passion & Power" Classes
    For Lower Back & Hips
    2026 – 14 + 28 Jan, 11 + 25 Feb, 11 + 25 Mar, 8 Apr
     

  • "Opening the Heart" Classes
    For Upper Back & Shoulders
    2026 – 21 Jan, 4 + 18 Feb, 4 + 18 Mar, 1 Apr

Where?
 

  • All Spring term classes are in a delightful new location near Kings Cross/Farringdon Road/Grays Inn Road:

  • ​​​​​​Kings Cross, Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations are all around 15 minutes walk away, or around 10 minutes away with a connecting bus.

Practicalities

​

​Props
 

  • I’ll provide most of the props you need.
     

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:
    Please bring 2 large, fluffy bath towels to every group class or workshop — we use them to create essential DIY props.
     

  • Small towels or thin blankets won’t work, so please avoid bringing these.
     

  • If you already have your own wool felt prop, you can bring this instead of the bath towels.
     

  • These props are important — without them you won’t be able to practise most of the therapeutic exercises fully.
     

Clothing/Staying Warm
​

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Please bring loose comfortable clothing to practice in: t-shirts, jogging pants and leggings are all good choices.​
     

  • Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and/or extra layers to insulate you from the floor, and to keep warm, especially in the winter months.​​​​​​​​
     

Refund Policy
 

  • All group classes (including classes and workshops) will be refunded in full if they are at least 7 days away, at the time you request a refund.

Pricing

​

Your first class is FREE, to make it as easy as possible for you to try out this method.

 

After that, to make these 2 hour-long transformational yoga therapy classes as accessible as possible, I'm offering 3 price levels:
 

  • Standard rate is £25. This is the standard rate for people in employment.
     

  • Concessionary rate is £15. This is the rate for people who really want to come, but aren't able to pay the standard rate because of financial circumstances.
     

  • Supporting rate is £35. People who pay at this rate will help to support those who are paying at a concessionary rate.

​

Discounts

​

  • People who have joined the Back-to-Strength Training Program, or the Back-to-Strength Private Coaching Program can join classes for 50% off the list prices. Please message me privately if you need an access code to obtain this reduced rate.
